Join the Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc.

GS in 1957

Purpose:

The Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc. restores, preserves and maintains for the benefit of the general public, the sailing vessel Governor Stone, a designated National Historic Landmark.

Mission:

Our mission is to highlight and share the history of waterfront communities by sailing and exhibiting the 1877 Schooner Governor Stone along the Northern Gulf Coast.

You are invited to assist in this Purpose and Mission by becoming a member of the Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc.  As a member of this organization you will receive our quarterly e-newsletter, have voting rights at our Annual General Meeting, receive notifications and be given the opportunity to participate in our work days, sails and public events in various locations along the Northern Gulf Coast.

Bosuns (nuclear family of up to 4)                 $50.00-99.00

Old Salt                                                        $100.00-249.00

Salty Dog                                                      $250.00-500.00

The Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc. welcomes your interest to help sustain the Governor Stone through a variety of volunteer areas: Education and Programs, Fundraising, Public Relations, Finance/Budget, and the very important areas of crewing and helping maintain this beautiful wooden vessel. Please consider how you may be part of this regional effort.
Dues and donations are tax deductible, in accordance with our tax laws.
