Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc. restores, preserves and maintains for the
benefit of the general public, the sailing vessel Governor Stone, a designated
National Historic Landmark.
Our mission is
to highlight and share the history of waterfront communities by sailing and
exhibiting the 1877 Schooner Governor Stone along the Northern Gulf Coast.
are invited to assist in this Purpose and Mission by becoming a member
of the Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc. As a member of this
organization you will receive our quarterly e-newsletter, have voting
rights at our Annual General Meeting, receive notifications and be
given the opportunity to participate in our work days, sails and public
events in various locations along the Northern Gulf Coast.
